FIRST SELECT'S MINIMUM STANDARDS POLICY
FOR EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES AND DIVERSITY

Purpose
This Group Policy defines FSI's minimum standards on diversity, inclusion and non-discrimination. FSI is committed to equality of opportunity. The policy is designed to ensure that we continue to develop fair employment practices and create a diverse workforce which is truly representative of all sections of society. We strive to create an environment in which our differences can be acknowledged, respected, and valued so that all may realise their full potential and the talents and resources of our workforce are fully utilised to enable us to provide the best service to our customers globally.

Minimum Standard
Due to differing national legislation, custom or market requirements, the specific detail of non- discrimination policies may vary between operating companies. However, all FS companies must have a documented policy for Diversity & Equal Opportunities which complies with local employment regulations and commits to providing equality of opportunity and treatment for all employees regardless of their:

  • Gender
  • Color
  • Ethnic Region
  • Culture
  • Religion or Belief
  • Sexual Orientation
  • Disability
  • Marital Status
  • Race
  • Nationality
  • Age

We also aim to ensure that no job applicant, employee or group of employees is disadvantaged by conditions or requirements which cannot be shown to be justifiable. All of the above are subject to the constraints of national employment regulations.

It is advised that all FS companies establish and publish a complaints procedure to manage any complaints that may arise from any failure to adhere to this, or any other Group policy or minimum standard.

We value all our employees for their contribution to our business and their opportunities for advancement will be equal and not influenced by considerations other than their performance, ability and aptitude.

In respecting and valuing the diversity among our employees and all those with whom we do business, managers and employees are expected to ensure that the work environment is free of all forms of discrimination and harassment. Every manager and employee is expected to abide by this policy and uphold the company's commitment to workforce diversity.

Companies are encouraged to share examples of local diversity & equal opportunities policies and procedures via our global intranet.
